The results of the survey on adults’ skills levels (PIAAC) prove that groups underrepresented in education should be invested in also in the future

According to the PIAAC results, Finns’ basic skills are top level. Regardless, the basic skills of low-educated people are lower than those of people with a higher level of education. For over three years already, SECLE has promoted the participation of underrepresented groups in training through guidance and trainings of short duration.

This week, former European Central Bank President Mario Draghi presented his recent report on improving the competitiveness of the European Union. SECLE also was mentioned in the report as an exemplary promoter of the availability of skilled labour.
