SECLE Student stories: Hana Sychrova

Taking part in the Hospitality Expert apprenticeship training, Hana familiarised herself with a diverse range of topics, from hygiene procedures and Finnish alcohol laws to preparing coffee drinks and learning about Lappish ingredients.

The acquired skills have proven useful in Hana's day-to-day tasks, allowing her to provide excellent customer service, recommend dishes and serve alcoholic beverages, all the while practising her Finnish with both customers and co-workers.

The training not only eased Hana's onboarding at her job but also gave her confidence and a solid foundation to build on.

"All the skills I learned during the training have been very helpful. As a new employee, I came in well-prepared for the work, and I hope to continue developing my skills."

Hana participated in the Hospitality Expert apprenticeship training organised by the Matkailualan englanninkieliset koulutuspilotit Lapissa ("English-language training pilots in the tourism sector in Lapland”) project funded by SECLE.
